i have this set up now and i am struggling to find a brake mount for the set up.
the distance is 75mm between the 2 bolt holes.
now the brake mount is a strange one... 70mm between the 2 bolt holes..??
as you can see the mountings for the forks are back mounted:
seems strange from normally its either is or post mount but its stamped hope and i dont no how why it dont fit too great.
but i need a mount to mount them with a 180mm rotor

edit; is it an old hope c2 brake???
Looks like you have an odd early post mount type calliper?
All my post mount forks and callipers are 74mm standard.
The standard system changed around 2000/2001. It went from 69mm spacing to 74mm, don't know why. A number 9 Hope caliper will fit the older 69mm, a number 9.74 caliper will fit the new one. You only need change half a caliper, even the pistons and things will just move accross into the new caliper-half.
your joking!!
omg this is going to be a bitch isnt it?
i might try and get some different ones then?
eye hes right, with those breaks they did that lots. i had to fit one to a boxxer. you just switch ou the side with the mounts and rebleed. call hope they are really good.
Sorry to hijack. Daffy please check your emails. I have emailed you about road bike. Thanks. J
calling hope, wil they replace it then or how much am i looking at for it to be sorted?
New caliper half about £35 I think. PITA without pistons, seals etc as they will need moving across and bleeding. Complete caliper from fleabay/Retrobike Classifieds is better option.
If you can't find a number 9.74 get a 3 or 6 and a PM/IS adapter (using a 3 will require a rotor 20mm larger)
