Never had an issue before but my home contents insurance are unable to insure my new bike as it breaks their "cap". They won't even insure it for the capped amount as they cannot deliberately under insure an item. Argh.

Any idea what the best way of doing this would be? Thanks

Change your home insurance. Or look at bikmo+, they do a separate bike policy which works well if you can't change. Home insurance from pedalcover, John Lewis, aa, m&s all gets recommended, do a search it's a weekly thread.

I use Bikmo - very easy to deal with.
