Any thoughts folks?
Wireless or not? - it's for a road bike.
Is a cadence facilty useful?
I'm a recreational roadie - not training to race. A few sportif events - Etape Caledonia etc
Cateye Strada. Many flavours (wireless, cadence etc). Your choice depending on ££'s. the bog standard or wireless ones are great. Often available 'preloved' on here for ~£20.
Recently bought this,but not had a chance to fit. It does Speed, Riding time, Trip distance and Total kilometres,and a clock.

If you can afford it then I'd get one of the Garmin GPS type ones.
The convenience of the whole thing (even if you add the cadence sensor setup) and the ability to upload rides and just have a look at what you did (even if you're not training) is worth the extra.
I notice [whispers] Sport Pursuit [/whispers] are doing a deal on Garmin watch style GPS things for £80 currently (they won't take a cadence sensor) if you don't need bar mount (or are prepared to use a bit of foam to allow the strap to go on your bars).
Cheers - maybe the extra for a Garmin GPS is the way to go. Currently use phone and Strava but a bar mounted Garmin will be better.

Are you wanting something to actually look at frequently during rides or just to record length, duration etc?
