Best Trails at The Wrekin?

Heading to Wales next weekend with a few mates. We're planning to head up on the Friday, and the Wrekin is pretty much on route, so we're planning to stop off and ride for a few hours. From the videos I've seen on YouTube, the trails look steep, technical and fun, but generally don't mention the trail names. Deer Run, Spider Ken, and Southern Monkey seem the most popular according to TrailForks.
Any pointers on which trails are best, along with any other useful info from locals or regulars, would be much appreciated...

I like the deer run.
Im not an athlete but I'm not super unfit.
It's a crap climb. It's just so steep.
It's 1000% more enjoyable on an ebike.

olly2097 makes a good point. I've only been to the Wrekin once and its a long way back up for another go. It was also very dry and loose at the time and a local told us that it rides better with a bit of rain.

That said, with a bit of knowlwdge there are clearly some great trails all over the hill.

I imagine that it would be great on an Eeb.

I've ridden the Wrekin a couple of times. I seem to recall it was a long slog up to the top for a quick steep run back down. These days we just look at it on our left as we drive on our way to the Long Mynd which is a great place to spend a few hours. As is Cannock Chase.

PM sent. Wrekin is an ace place if you like steep and technical riding. The climb up is tough, but if you’ve got good fitness you’ll be fine. Otherwise just push the really steep main path section.

I normally do one up and down of the Wrekin itself but then spend longer on the Ercall side of the road which has some good trails but without the bastard hill to climb up.

Killer climb and it will be death on two wheels given how loose it is at the moment!

Thanks for all the info so far, looks like there's some good riding in the area. Lots of options to think about.

As is Cannock Chase.

If you're looking to ride steep enduro style trail like at the Wrekin don't go to cannock...

Steep enduro trails are what we're after. Don't mind a tough pedal, push and carry, if its worth it. Happy to do so at spots like Barry Sidings.
