Am finally getting my finger out and booking for an mtb holiday. The trouble is due to budget constraints and job insecurity of friends I'll probably be going on my own. I fancy the alps or pyrenees and was looking for recommendations from any one who had used a company that operate in these areas but someone who has gone themselves.

I've been on a few trips by myself and part of a group where solos have tagged along too. Always been fine, most cyclist seem friendly, so you'll be fine. Most important thing is just to choose where it is you'd like to ride.
