I had to upgrade my road bike after buying that lototherwise it'd have heavier wheels than my XC bike!
Try JRA for ZTR Hubs on ZTR Crest rims.
Hope ProII Evo/Crest - £265 at York Bike Outlet.
I bought used DT240s off the classifieds and got them built up with some discounted stans crests and Dt super comp spokes for a smidge over £300. Loving the wheels and would certainly take the same route again.
Incidentally, there are some new Mavic Crossmax 29er wheels out in the next couple of weeks, so look out for deals on the old model. They're slightly heavier but as stiff as hell and look beautiful. They don't spin up quite as quickly though.
