After a day of pretending I could do massive gap jumps I've ended up popping my saddle off its rail on one side.
Several hours of swearing in the man cave and a selection of persuasion bars, I've been unable to pop the rail back into the rear of the saddle.
How the hell do they make them in the first place.
All I seem to have done is bend the bloody thing, so now I need a new saddle.
Is there a technique I'm missing for the next time I do this ?
Best way is to clamp the rail in the seatpost. But IME once it's out, it's screwed- you might get it back in but it'll do it again
Remove saddle from seatpost, insert saddle into bin, buy and fit new saddle.
Top advice, you seem to have the knack Legend !
Remove saddle before jumping then put it back on.
Remove saddle before jumping then put it back on.
What could possibly go wrong? 😯
