Hi folks. Just wondered what this loop was like? Thinking of doing it with the missus this afternoon, but she has reservations about how technical it might be, so any info appreciated!

Cheers

Its a great little loop. From memory the climb required a decent level of fitness and was challenging in places so she might struggle there. I don't remember the descent being overly technical. Lots of rock but a well made path. Its probably on par with the Annat descent in terms of difficulty. A bit steeper at the bottom but nothing ridiculous. Certainly much easier than the Achnashellach descent. If your looking for another option nearby, there is the coffin road on Applecross that is probably easier still. Good as an out and back. Food at the Applecross Inn is top not too if you have the time. The path along to Sand is good too.

Did the classic Torridon loop 2 days ago and the Annat descent/climb had been battered by some storms a few weeks ago. What used to be a fun descent is at the moment an eroded mess. Its in no way unrideable but its really not fun.

Long haul along the side of Loch Damph. It's flat but boggy even in the driest weather. Then it's a long slog up the high point. Descent isn't overly technical though it is pretty loose and rocky, and some line choices do have drops and the like.
