if you were to go away for a weeks bike touring, and liked a bit of a drink, could you survive the week by not eating a evening meal?

like, how many pints equate to a evening meal?

1 pint = 200-250 kcal.

So 3-4 pints would be your tea.

Maybe a shot for pudding.

so if Jamie's maths is correct, you in theory could sup 6 or so pints a night and not eat a evening meal, and be ok energy/calorie wise

What would a diet totally devoid of protein and fat do to you? Or roughage. And does beer have any vitamin C in it?

He has the veg/protein sources for breakfast and lunch.

...but he could pop a slice of lemon in his vodka.

The cycling will use up calories. Eat properly then have a few ales (mebbe not 6 though).
Or do as the young UN's - drink yourself mortal, then throw it up.

Every time I eat a scotch egg now I reminisce about being in The Elan Valley in the rain, or climbing up over the Brecon Beacons! Knowing that you are staying in a pub full of lovely beer at the end of the day's ride just makes you pedal harder :}
