[#7483772]

Decided to machine down one of my DT end caps rather than buy a new set- converting from shimano hub to SRAM XD, the driveside endcap is different. Snapped belt on lathe, reverted to Epic Bodge and stuck a cordless screwdriver on the end of the lathe axle to spin it and used my dremel to to do the cutting as the work rotated at about 3rpm. Great success! You'd never know...

Wheel won't go in frame. I machined down the brake side endcap by mistake. Now I have a drive side endcap that doesn't fit anywhere, and a brake side end cap that fits the driveside, apart from being about 15mm too long.

Someone put it, NOPE. But I prefer BAWS

All is not lost. Flip the wheel, brakes, cranks/drivetrain and learn to pedal backwards 😀

I measured loads of times! It's a perfect fit apart from where it's completely wrong.

And that's why I get MC to make me shiny things instead of trying to do it myself and cutting both my arms off.
