Well roads were quiet on the way, but Rivi was the busiest I've ever seen it. Loads of mtbers, walkers, runners, families. Rained a bit recently, disappointed to see it's already turned into a slopfest! Reminiscent of ardrock 😳 All good though,

Rode along Curbar/Froggat edge, probably the busiest I've ever seen it.

Darn sarf the trees have drank all that lovely rain and we are now back to frollicking in dust.
Lots of families cycling on the Monsal trail (I was strolling gently with the wife). Hassop Station really busy but good natured, all today's prophets going to Cancer Research apparently.
Well that was some ride.
30 mile, over 1000 meters of climbing and 2500 descending.
I'm sunburnt and a bit broken.
Had a proper wobbly head at the top that didn't clear until we were below 2000 meters.

27k/550m climbed round some local stuff, found another decent little descent (fast, loose, with a nice little techy rooty steep corner at the bottom).
It's very dry and dusty here in the SE, although there are some perma mud spots that are still there, presumably replenished by the recent rain we've had.
Ended up riding around Philips Park this morning. Haven't been there for a few years.
Knee told me to stop around 12 miles in.
It rained a lot and got soaked ☹️

Zoom in enough, you might be able to see yourself!

😀
Took my youngest to Swinley for the second ride of her new bike (the first being yesterday, she wanted to go again 😃). Blue then red until her legs gave out, but she’s definitely picking things up quickly (plenty of Dad shouting ‘look at the exit of the corner).
Don’t ride there much anymore but plenty of young kids out (yey), seems like the E bike has fully replaced the gnarpoon as the de rigour trail centre ‘shred sled’ choice for the Swinley weekend warrior.

Hmmm who knew?
( well, they did, obviously ) 😊
Lap of Cannock this morning- busiest I’ve seen the trails for ages. A large number of walkers wandering around the bike tracks too - many foraging for blackberries etc. Nice to see folk out enjoying the outdoors but I hope no collisions happened!

Easy 28 miler on the gravel bike!

Ha Ha!
Must check what auto-correct thinks my fat fingers mean more often. And book a very overdue opticians appointment.
We're in Dunkeld, so have been up Craifvinean/Hermitage & the Masts today. Been mostly dry but rained last night so some sketchy rocks & roots today!
Had planned to go all the way from Granada and on up to Veleta a few weeks back when the vuelta was there, plans were scuppered by the race blocking the road and the fact we were both too knackered. From a distance the whole top of the mountain looked pretty much like your photo - I assume going up on 25mm road tyres would have been madness?
Its only the very top where the tarmac stops.
Saw a few guys up there on road bikes so must be possible.
Out on the trails after watching some of the coverage
