well what can i say.... was out and about on the fells for 6 hours today (yep thats 6 hours ...on the 'Womens Orange Diva' that i took out for a 'demo' ride .... hired from 'Blazing saddles' bike shop in 'Hebden Bridge'.... WOW !!!! what an AWSOME bike, its so light weight, and just so springy and jumps over rocks like its nothing and decends down grassy hillsides like a bat out of hell....
im sooooooo impressed... my first time on full suspension (one word- AWESOME ) !!!!
the 'womens 2009 orange diva' is something special.... a little pricey somewhat but soooo special !!! i didnt want my little 'hardtail' back ! (oohhh).
time to break the piggy bank and check down the back of the sofa for pennies?
lol..... i cant find any pennies down there ? the sofa must have completely gobbled them up...
just surfing the tinternet and came across another orange model ..its the 'orange 5 s'.... this model is abit cheaper at approx £1,899.00 as opposed to the orange Diva which is " £2,499,00... obviously slight difference in the spec ,but its still a good ! im guessing it will still be as good as the Diva ? anyone riding an orange 5 s ... ?
Get some wine down ya, get out the credit card and get the diva bought...its the only way to shop! 🙂
There's a lass round our way with an orange,Orange 5,it looks fantastic. They're popular in the Stoke area.A very capable bike.
the ride on the diva and the 5 will be similar (5's are very nice)
but the fit may not be as good for you; depends if you fit mens geometry?
The Orange 5 and the Orange Diva are essentially the same bike. The Diva being a female specific version with different geometry, eg.it has a shorter top tube and stem, ladies saddle, narrower bars etc. Spec wise the Diva only comes in one spec, roughly equivalent to the Orange 5 'Pro'.
If it's a bit over budget, you can (I think) buy it frame only and build it up to a similar spec as the Orange 5 'S'.
By the way I should add I've just bought a 5 after testing one on a demo day. Very happy with my decision!
Motolite! 😉
I bought my Wife a Diva last year from the guys at NWMTB.
She says that it's the best bike she's ever ridden. Her riding has come on leaps and bounds from the confidence it has given her. Also I have to admit that even though it's way too small for me when I've sneaked in a wee play on it it seems to be a really responsive & lively bike!
Definitely consider buying it now as I've heard that Bikes and components have/are gone/going up in price by between 20-30%(Bikes) and up to 100%(on Components)...Sickening!!!
Mrs Rickmeister rides an Orange 5 s and loves it. Changed the stem for a shorter 90mm one, womens saddle and she is off. Alps, Tour Mont Blanc, Morocco, Alpajurras, Glentress and natural trails, it just does the lot. She managed to trash a wheel and a tubless tyre literally within hours of collecting it from the shop on the Devils Staircase, a case of confidence exceeding competence after too long on an Epic.
Get it bought, theres no going back now.....
i thort youd be earwiggIng SPUD !!!! i hear you (motolite) ! hahah if i buy a motolight the guy in the shop has promised to ride with me somewhere up scotland ! lol oooh ....
did enjoy the Diva tho ! but apparently Titus are supposed to be alot lighter than the orange ! wow !
