Thinking of making a cheeky detour to Aston Hill on my way home from a meeting tomorrow. Never been before and am not a hard-core Downhill stormtrooper type rider normally but fancy pushing myself a bit. So was wondering what order of difficulty the trails should be attempted in so I can build up gradually rather than die on run one...
Root canal and the black run are hardest- root canal seems ok until you get to to bottom and it gets steep. Black run is more consistently steep, but root canal just as steep in parts.
The other (can't remember names- red run?) is ok- best to start on (also the xc descent with the wooden board walk at the end is easier).
Surface to air is actually the flowiest of all the trails- pretty easy if you're ok on jumps/drops.
