Looking at one of these or something similar for next year.

While the purchase price is very attractive am I leaving myself open to an expensive maintenance nightmare with the Lefty?

Nope. Lefty service can be a bit pricier but the service interval is longer. I have a Triiger from Paul's though.the Dyad rear shock does rather put the bills up.

Nice bike, get it bought. All bike cost money if you use them!

26" wheels, the trails will be dead to you.

Cripes! I paid nearly that for my Flash 1 from there 18 months ago. I love it and the Lefty is superb. It's not had or needed any maintenance since new and I probably do around 50 miles minimum a week on it around the Peak. Bottoming it out resets the needle bearings apparently or so I'm told. I'd buy that bike tomorrow if I was allowed.

The spec sheet makes it look as if its made from spare parts.

Like most of the home built bikes on here.

10 speed, disc braked, full suss, tubeless ready, well specced Cannondale for £1400?

Proper bargain.

Get it bought.

If I needed a new full susser right now I would have it without hesitation.

I would. I'm too short though.
