Considering buying the clamps but the photos look like they will place the shifter significantly further forward (relative to me) than the standard XTR clamp. Anyone tried them?

Not quite, but I'm using the matchmaker clamp for my Race X2 and SRAM X0 Shifters... works a treat. Feels nicer made then the old Avid Juicy matchmaker combo, but not quite as slick as the XX setup.

I've got a pair, they don't move the shifters foward much, a few mm at most - I'll be selling them soon as I'm fiting a Rohloff.
