Been there done the PDS and gave up years ago to see what else is on offer and once you have done it you realise that there is a lot more on offer. However im hearing of loads of the usual PDS trips going on but little of people going elsewhere.
So whi is off where? Anyone doing a road trip? Im always up for new suggestions and prefer long old freeride descents over the DH courses so lets hear where else you have ventured to.
So far i have road tripped to the following places:
PDS (lots)
Three Valleys
Chamonix - Vallorcine Valley
Alpe Dhuez
2 Alpes
Crans Montana
Lac Blanc
St Pierre de Chartreuse
Pila-Aosta
Vars
Pra Loup
Bueafortain
Val D'isaire
and some more i cant remember off the top of my head
One that i fancy is Les Arcs.
So what else have you found that you would recommend?
if you have done all that without les arc you are deffo missing out. Got down there but make sure you hook up with some guiding from trail addiction, bike village (maybe too xc) or white room/ cool bus
Make sure you do la varda 🙂
La Grave
Molini
Callizano
Verbier and the surrounding area, including Dorenaz. Right up your street, by the sound of it. If possible, guided by www.bikeverbier.com to get the most out of this region (their knowledge, guides and van/trailer combo are worth their weight in gold).
oops, wrong thread
Are you posting in the right thread!
Verbier is superb.
The DH trail at Dorenaz is one of the best trails I have ever ridden.
Road trip to Les Arcs on 4th August. 32 sleeps 🙂
3 weeks today I'll be in Alpe D'Huez 😀
Verbier awesome place.
Looks like Lake Garda for me
Off to Meribel (again) next Wednesday !!
Can't wait, rode there last year in August and loved it.
Good places I would recommend are: Orcieres, Tignes, Allos.
les Arcs a week on Saturday.
Every single day 😉
la vésubie
la tinée
le var
l'estéron
l'ubaye
la roya
le cians
and more 😉
