Specifically acromio-clavicular joint dislocation. Unfortunately an old collarbone break had been giving me gyp prior to this latest injury. X-ray showing possible bit of random bone lurking.

As always, thank you so much. ๐Ÿ™‚

I've got a shoulder calvicle plate, with some ligament reconstruction.

Doesn't hurt too much, only pings the odd airport X-ray machine and only feels a little odd on very cold mornings.

Plate in/on my right clavicular- pretty much the full length, 8 screws (some 'inside' the bone).

Been in since 2000. Has been fine until the last few months- it now aches, catches and hurts when I raise my arm. Think it may need to come out!

Glad I had it done though; the bone was in many pieces, a real mess. It was great as soon as the plate was put in (literally within 2 weeks).

Thanks for the replies. So you're all able to do the things that you were doing before?

Long waiting list for surgery so haven't a clue what I shall do in the meantime. Walking boots will be going on as soon as is sensible.

Don't accept a long waiting list if you possibly can - make a fuss if you want the surgery.

Yep. It's fine - had some nerve problems afterwards - everything around my shoulder felt numb for months. The only pain I get now is from heavy rucksucks.
