[Closed] Anyone fitted SKS mudguards to a Kaffenback?

Instructions are useless.

The bit that is meant to connect to the seatstay eyelet doesn't seem to work with the placement of the eyelet on the Kaff. Thinking of just drilling through and putting a bolt straight through into it, but would rather not have to really. Anyone done this?

Mine are real old SKS, so not sure if they are the same as the ones they sell now.

Mine have a drill hole with a flat fitting allen bolt for the seatstay.

I took the bracket off the guard, and drilled through the guard itself and fitted a bolt and large washer through the guard and scrwed it into the thread on the undernath of the wishboney bit. Used a sleeve form a v brake bolt to act as a spacer. Looks reet neat it does.

did the same on my pompino. you can see the lines of ally through the coating if you look carefully. this gives a good idea where the centre is.

+1 for drilling.

I made a washer out of an old inner tube to damp down vibrations.

Same here on my tourer. The washer recently wore a hole through the mudguard, after 6 years. It was not a vibration-reducing rubber one though.
