[#3378518]

Torn between the 2" Fat Franks and the 28c gatorskins on my peregrine.

I love the lazy, cushy, steamrollery ride of the fat franks, but they're pretty lardy, and every so often the toe overhang gets in the way. A compromise would be good, light would be great.

Anyone do such a thing as a lightweight/folding 35mm 700c slick?

Edit: yes, there are plenty. I was searchin wiggle for 35mm not 35c. As you were.

Schwalbe Marathon Racer is in 35c if I remember. Not completely 'slick' mind.

cheers for the suggestions. Looking like the vitoria hyper randoneur at the moment. lightish: about a pound per wheel lighter than the fat franks!

But I probably won't buy until the new year, (having just seen that XT brakes are back in stock at Rose!) so I'll bear those others in mind if there are deals about.

Schwalbe Kojak? Slick and fairly light.
Planet X have them for £10 (wired version). http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/TYSCKJKR/schwalbe_kojak_wired_tyre_with_reflective_logo
