[#7903742]

Short synopsis

Smashed my acetabulum and femoral head 8 years ago. Got my hip done 2 years ago ish and it's been brill.

I was riding well n my fitness has come back. I was in torridan 2wk ago riding.

Since then I've managed 4 miles n I'm in agony. It feels all tight and nasty.

I'm going to my physio as soon as I can get an appointment but has anyone got any suggestions.

I might try an easy ride tomorrow see if it backs off a bit...

How come the hip replacement so long after if you don't mind me asking? Necrosis of the femoral head? Snapped mine off 3 months ago and told high chance of necrosis, fingers crossed.

Yeah in the words of my consultant it look like a dog a chewed on it.

Emails in profile. Or if your near lancashire I'll meet for a beer.

Took 5 years to get a replacement which I'm angry about

No incident of trauma? Rest for a few weeks. If symptoms persist perhaps go to your GP and he/she may request an X-ray to see if everything is all as it should be.
