[#619606]

I lead a ride from Todmorden to Lee Quarry on Sun and intended to come back over the Long Causeway to Walsden, but couldnt find the track back over from near Shawforth, seem to remember it went up through another quarry, any pointers to where it is please?

Ended up going all the way down the road and up past the Red Lion to the Golf Club and picked up the Pennine Bridleway, which didnt go down to well, oopps

thanks in advance

Lee Quarry was great by the way, very impressed with all the work despite the double puncture as i dropped off the Black into the bottom of the quarry! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

You could take the bridleway starting near the observatory going over Inchfield Moor, via Ramsden Clough Reservoir to Walsden

I thought about that, but not until we were too far down the road to Whitworth!
It is a good descent going that way though.

Do you mean the red brick road that goes up through landgate and moss quarries? It takes you on to the old limersgate bridleway that runs past Brown Wardle Hill up to Deerplay. You can then either follow the bw over Deerplay and join the Pennine Bridleway and drop in to Cliviger Gorge or straight on down in to the gorge and a big climb out up to Long causway. I could do you a quick map at work tomorrow.
