Id bet £50 that knowone on here could get down that, without bailing!

For the "one foot" guy it has a two foot step down onto another rock which at the same time you have to slide your back wheel down to the side to straighten up for the next big ****in rock!

I'll take you up on that £50 bet. Not saying that i could ride it, but I daresay there's a few on here that ride it.

Go ride Laggan black.

Stop with that TJ the black at laggan as nothing difficult in it... Nothing there is no trajectory to choose, it's all perfectly and easily doable. Even by an average rider like me.

Are you saying that no one's ever ridden it and that it's unrideable?

Cause the chap in the video had a good attempt at it.

I was willing to take you up on the bet that 'no one on here' could ride it ie. STW. GW has already thrown down the gauntlet 😉

i can't say i'd have cleared it, but i'd have given it a go.

there are a few, although very short, tricky, technical bits of riding round here (lots of rocky outcrops).

That's one bit of it yes. The rest is a tiny bit more technical, much rockier but nothing technical as it's just a matter of point and go.

lobby its not unrideable ,but the chap in the video is the shagmeister aka "awesome dawson" have you taken the time to check out his videos on vimeo, he carries his bollocks around in a wheelbarrow, surely that says somthing about the "Nuns Chuff"
plus i will be expecting it to be ridden on a 5" xc bike.

Woody That bit - airs rock is the easy black bit at laggan. The stuff on the main black trail is harder - steep rock with steps - not just slick rock at 45 degrees like airs rock. Some of it cannot be rolled IIRC

top marks for effort, his entry speed looked a bit much tho.

I'd try it but not wi'out pads - watch how his right leg gets scraped over the rock 😳

?"He seems to be leaning very far forward for a steep descent"
>WTF is that supposed to mean?

I think he means that for steep descents the approach is to get your weight back as far back as possible.

Hope this helps 😀

Laggon Black is a ACE route but it is childs play compared to some of Tons vids... Totem Gully and Nuns Chuff are pretty tech. If anyone fancys a go I'll be glad to take you to test your metal.... Funny thread Ton. Get yourself out next week.... 😈

Ignoring all the politics above ...

If I had a go I'd certainly end up at the bottom well before my bike.

I'd struggle I'm sure, managed Laggan Black ok, quite easy compared to the Corriyarick Pass we rode to get there.

It's better as a climb.

At the moment I definitely couldn't ride this as been off my bike for a while until recently and my skills have deserted me 🙂 When I was riding regularly I think I could have ridden it or come close. There are lots of people who would find this relatively easy though, for example most people who have ever raced downhill would clean it first time - have you seen what some of those guys ride??

i want to see ton attempt it. Surely you must have at least one bike in your fleet that is suitable? 🙂

Funny, this is my favourite post
"He seems to be leaning very far forward for a steep descent"
WTF is that supposed to mean?

Exactly what it says, he was on a steep rocky descent going slow and had his weight forward. It's not a good idea.

I love the responses here, tonnes of people with big brass balls. You must have legs like tree trunks lugging those things around.

Trouble is you can't tell who's joking and who isn't. Some of the ones that look like joke "Yeah I could do it on a shopping bike" responses are probably real 🙁

Im always surprised by how good everyone else is, I consider myself to be a pretty good/fast rider but the last two years student champs DH races Ive competed in Ive come around 200th! (on a hardtail 😉 not that Im making excuses) Dont underestimate the abilities of others, theres always someone who is better than you.
