Looking to get a Pace 529

This takes an unusual headset combination.

EC34/28.6. SHIS lower cup: EC44/40.

Works components do an EC 34 upper and an EC 44 lower, but don't sell them together.

I've asked if they might make an exception.

Is this even technically possible?

Cheers Alex

I don’t think there’s enough room in that headtube to angle a tapered steerer.

Wait and see what Works say, they pretty much invented this stuff. I reckon there's a good chance that they just don't sell it because it's a weird combothough.

I want to run it with a shorter fork - 130mm - so the aim is to preserve the head angle, rather than chopper it out.

You have to offset the top and/or bottom bearing. This normally means going from a ZS to EC cup at one end to get the extra room. If both ends are already EC, is there any space? You need about 1.5mm offset for a 1 deg change on a 100mm headset bearing spacing.
