Freezing on the road bike of late and need something like the wind jacket. Ideally it would be light and able to stick in a back pocket, windproof but rather it was breathable than waterproof. Got a montane stowaway (?featherlite) jacket which is bit thin for what im after*
*for all i know the rapha is equally lightweight and thin
Montane do a heavier weight version i think - featherlight is about 115g and they do a 160ish g singletrack - I'd be more precise but I've left it at work. Its about £60 if you shop around so you can use the £100 you save on the rapha to line the montane jacket with fivers for added warmth 🙂 . Rapha is really nice but is a wee bit pricy, think its similar weight to the singletrack but rather classier looking.
cheers for that!
Pearl Izumi Convertible Barrier is keeping the wind off me nicely at the moment. Quite water resistant too (20 miles in the rain and no big leaks). Plus the arms come off. I think the huge vents in the back keep the breathability quotient high. Arms are long enough to tuck into gloves, so no cold cuffs. Packs small, but at the moment I'm loathe to take it off!
