Bought myself a dishing tool to correct what I thought was a build error on my commuter bike rear wheel. I made it with my usual slightly rudimentary turn the wheel round in the stand to check method.
Anyway, turns out the rim is bang center between the two lock nuts.
Anyone built such a wheel? Is it likely to be offset to improve the belt line? It's a Trek District frame if that makes any difference. Google isn't showing any obvious hits.

If so, can't you dish it to the frame?

That's exactly it. Noticed it because the tyre isn't central in the mudguard, but I've never moved that.
Looks like it's about 6mm towards the brake side measuring with the BB shell as a datum.
Balls, that escalated! Managed to knacker a nipple, broke the square off it. Only way I could get that off was to cut the spoke and replace with a spare which whacked the wheel so far out of true I've de-tensioned it to start again. 😖
Bloody 30 minute jobs.
Yea, the frame is probably offset. I had a Marin Presidio with belt drive and IIRC, there was more 'space' on the drive side.
