Trying to find a double shifter for 2x9 do Shimano make and sell them singularly?

Just use the current one and wind the stop in on your mech to make it only shift onto the middle

In the 9 speed SLX range, there was a 2x9 specific mech and crank, but there wasn't a double specific shifter. The 2x9 stuff has part numbers ending -M665, the 3x9 stuff has part numbers ending -M660. Just use a regular (M660) shifter and limit the travel of te front mech (M660 or M665) using the stops on the mech as mentioned above.

Also used my double SLX front derailleur in a triple set up, by winding the limit screw out. ๐Ÿ’ก

Thanks that is what I do now but I thought there would be a shifter that is double specific seeing as there is a double specific front mech, or am I missing something - can you get a 10 speed front shifter that is 2x

2013 SLX out soon will have option for 2/3 speed within shifter, they look real nice too.
