Which is the best place to start this - Afan or Glyncorrwg?
For riding, it seems better to start at Glyncorrwg then we don't need to ride back and forth between the Afan center (can cut out about 6km of boring valley trail by the looks of it), but then we don't get the Glyncorrwg center cafe as a halfway point. So is there a start place that you think gives a better ride?

somehow the W2 feels like the best bits of the wall and whytes have been removed

Start at Glyncorryg.
The W2 is Whites and Wall complete so how does it feel like the best bits have been removed?
It depends on which decent you want to be fresher for. I chose to start at Afan as i really like the whites decent and find the wall climb less fun than the whites.
Start at Afan and you get Glyncorrwg Cafe for your half way stop, works for me.
I'm with paceman start at afan up wall down nrg /goodwood to centre @ glyncorrwg for refuelling whites climb then wall descent!
