[#13002235]

A friend has asked me to take a look at their newly delivered Di2 equipped road bike to adjust the gears.

I’m pretty comfortable with rear gearing but puzzled on the Di2 bit.

Im guessing the indexing is electronically controlled and all I need to worry about are the three adjusters on the mech. Is what would be “cable preload” something that can be adjusted?

Any “things” I should be aware of that are out of the ordinary?

Yes.  Read the Shimano instructions.  Di2 is adjusted differently than cable set ups in as much as you set the indexing from the middle of the cassette and then lock down the set screws at the end of the process.

B tension and end stops are same principles as cable. Cable preload is the Microshift adjustment and I found the easiest way to do it is via the app. Can also be done via the shifters.

Sram’s videos are pretty good and it’s a very easy job once you get it.
