Not a B&B but a bunkhouse if your interested ?.
Opened last year, amazing views, its the old Ffestiniog golf clubhouse that's been renovated.

The Eagles Penmachno is worth a look. Clean rooms, comfy beds, bike storage and great food and beer in the pub. I stayed there last month and would go back.

A little bit further away (Abergele), but an amazing place to stay:

Breakfasts are amazing, views stunning, and the lack of mobile reception welcome 🙂

If you fancy something a little different but a lot of fun and very easy, try glamping...

Stayed here for 4 days last year, easy access and good facilities.

The views over snowdon were excellent

Not sure what type of accommodation you are looking for, but Trawsfynydd Holiday Village offers log cabins just 3 miles from Coed y Brenin. We're about 30 minutes drive from Penmachno and an hours drive to Snowdon 🙂 www.logcabinswales.co.uk 01766 540219

Just booked this place (Bunk hut) http://www.tyddynbach.com/accomodation.html near Penmachno. Was going to book here for brenin http://www.caegwynfarm.co.uk/barn.htm but decided to do machno instead. Both a step up from camping but thats all we need.

If you get some nice weather, then go outside early morning, walk to were first Tee off on the old golf course used to be,it's breathtaking! Probably one of the best views in the whole of North Wales!
Evenings are also lovely with the sun setting over Porthmadog.
Enjoy!

Have previously stayed in www.caegwynfarm.co.uk both camping and in the B&B (lovely) and you can ride to and from Coed y Brenin trail centre. It is about 2 miles drive to Betwys.

In betwys you have Glan Aber Hotel either as B&B or they have a bunkhouse which is excellent at £21 pppn including breakfast, clean decent sized rooms, hot good showers and a fab drying room.

Alternatively in Dolgellau is http://www.bikers-retreat.com/ which I know Welsh Cycling stay at with their Juniors and is fantastic! Again you can ride to and from Coed y brenin.
