I need to refresh some or all of the drive train on one of my bikes. It's 9 speed at the moment but obviously there is a lot of 10 speed kit about at the moment. Can they be mixed and matched or are they actually different dimensions (widths I guess)?
So for example, Could I use a 10 speed rear mech with a 9 speed cassette?
Or can I use 10 speed chainset with a 9 speed cassette and shifters?
Any advice or experience appreciated.
