From Dumfries mabie looked good. Ae uplift cancelled for this weekend so obviously enough snow / ice to make the road slippy enough. Not sure how cold it is looking for tomorrow but snow forecast for Sunday so there could be some icy patches at any of the Dumfries trails.

Glentress was looking pretty iffy yesterday- road to top car park shut, ice in places on the trails all the way down to the bottom. Didn't ride it, but if it's icy at the bottom it's always bad further up.

Innerleithen was better, very little snow lower than the top fire road, though quite a lot at that level- was just plain weird actually, going up the push-up and it went brown, brown, SNOW! That'll mess up the XC route, but the lower trails were in good shape- little wet and claggy.

Still some snow at Ae and usually gets a dump before the rest of Dumfries but was riding really good last week, at least up to the end of the Edge ๐Ÿ˜†

Inners was ok. Was there today, still exactly as Northwind descibed above. Fireroad was covered in snow. Everything else was fine, if a little slippy.

Was at GT today, top car park shut, the place was practically deserted. Started on the black, lots of snow and slush on exposed parts of the trail, had to push from below the shelter on the first big climb until reaching the mast. Bailed at the mast and joined the top of spooky wood, it was a giggle and I dare say unridable but do-able if you really want to. Was fine from super g downwards.

Sun shining here in Dumfries ๐Ÿ˜†
Not been biking this week but would expect Mabie, Dalbeattie and Kirrie to be fairly snow free after the snow turned to rain. Ae might still have some in areas the sun don't shine, tends to have snow when the rest are free being higher

Had a quick loop at Ae after work today. Tree felling going on at Granny Green Love not sure if diversion will be in place over weekend. Bit of snow here and there but nothing that should keep folks away.

Was at Gt today with progeny. Rode up past red to join the black beyond the radio mast. 200m of pushing through snow, then great riding once the trail dived into the forest: 2" of snow on the trail but no traffic so no ice; very ridable. Rest of black route clear of snow (not the Tower Climb and Mustard Snake though, they've got deep snow on them). I would imagine Spooky Wood descent is lethal though.

Was up at GT last weekend.... given the temps I don't think there would have been much of a thaw. Rode up to Britney Spears, which was a bit icy and dodgy if you nailed it, the climb up to the mast was a push due to hard snow.

We rode the connection to Spooky wood - from there on it was all clear. So I'd assume the same again for the weekend.
