So is this another new wheel standard like 29er or am i just really really slow ๐
An old wheel size, now will get marketed for people too short for 29ers ๐
An old French iirc wheel size that's been used by mtb's for quite a while now. They offer the advantages of a 29ers rolling-ness and fell like a 26er in the Singletrack but have the drawback of hard to get tyres, forks and rims.
A lot of the appeal for it at the moment is that a lot of normal 26" bikes can be converted to 650b. I don't know how this affects mud clearance though?
I've just bought a frame that is designed specifically for it! I hope I can still get tyres for it in 12 months time. ๐

I am currently running them on my Evil Sov, smooths the trail better than 26 and spins up better than 29. Biggest drawback when running them on a 26 frame is the higher BB, once you get your head around that they are fast and grip is very good.
We'll have more on 650B stuff this year... No one's talking about it much at the moment, but it'll come...
