Needs to accept full guards and preferably rack mounts, and as per title "discs".

What's currently out there aside from Genesis at this price point? I'll not stretch to a Fratello, not keen on the Kaffenback. Would prefer to keep things on the sporty but not racey side!

Could do with fitting some decent (comfy) tyre sizes in with those mudguards. I seem to have acquired most components FOC so it's definitely a frame only purchase.

Kinesis 4S disc fits those criteria but a bit more at £650ish.

The 4S looks to be pretty much top end of my price point.

Just, after I've found it with a few quid off. Which appears to be easy to find.

Does a Bowman Pilgrim come under £500?

If so, I'd choose that.

Bowman looking too pricey.

That Mango looks a bargain. Any reviews of their bikes kicking about?

Put your snobbery aside, the Kaff is a good frame.

I've been distracted from doing so by Christmas but I'm selling my rather nice Salsa Vaya frame and forks which takes front/rear racks and full guards.

Nothing to do with bike snobbery. It's the supplier that's the problem.

They've had multiple chances and ****** every one of them.

If you fancy something a bit sportier, Evans have CAAD 10 Disc frames for a tasty £370.

No rack mounts, but you'll probably be able to squeeze race guards on them.

Think that CAAD10 is a bit too much like my SCOTT.

Didn't even think about Cotic, good shout @Riksbar

The Mangos are almost worth buying just for the bits.

I was looking for a similar thing recently, ended up with the 4s disc and am very pleased with the result. With the extra discount at Merlin at the moment you can get pretty close to £500.
