For as long as they have a wishbone seatstay, I'll not be having one....which is probably forever then. Can't make it my cup of tea no matter how hard I try.
Rest is nice though and great value.

Not sure why super raw isn't shot.
It's same finish as 456evo2 raw but with a new orange/yellow decal.

They're not really the same sort of bike this and the Boardman, I'd say the Boardman is probably a better first bike, but if you're riding is going the a 456 kind of direction then this is a bargain. I specced one up the the Planet X website earlier with a reverb and silly wide bars, was very tempted for £1050, but the wife may have actually killed me.

I'm stuck with my Rockrider for at least the next year it seems.

My post did not read very well....

I am trying to convince him the On One is better....

I also told him to take less water if he was worried about the extra weight 🙂

Just some anecdote of gnarliness of steel would do 😀

As I say... I can't wait for the Parkwood.
That's not helping. End of March I hope!

We're working on that. I'm quite sure with some extra air miles we can get the forks (the missing link) here faster.

Whats that supposed to mean? sooner? this cryptic stuff isn't fun in the slightest when your bikeless.

Snb123... Yes. Trying to air freight the forks in to get the build completed sooner.
That said, email me. Mail in profile.

There you go snb123, every time you ride your new bike you can think of all the extra CO2 emissions your impatience has caused because stuff was air freighted 😉

If its the same raw colour as the evo2 then I'm getting one 😉
Is there any plans for a 29er in the raw colour this year?

Found photos of the raw, seeing as on-one having bothered to update their site yet. Looks nice, just got to decide which I want now:

I like the Carbon 456Evo too, colour scheme breaks up the size of the frame tubes really well.

handybendyhendo tell your mate to fit the racing ralphs to the on-one and they'll be almost the same weight!!

And when he's sick of fixing punctures he can fit the Ardent's again!

I think it could be the first on-one frame that I've actually liked the look of! Much prefer the new seat stays.

DezB... was thinking about a steel frame and looking at the 456 anyway. Makes sense to buy a 650b rather than a 26er even if im going to use 26 wheel and fork for the time being.

No problem with it. Just wondered, after the "backlash" threads on here, it now seems to be accepted.

I can never quite understand how people get so excited over the looks of a hardtail. It's basically 2 triangles. Cheap hopefully. I had a 456 26" which was fine. If it aint broke why fix it eh? But all this marketing guff makes money for companies and all our spares redundant

Spares are only redundant if you fall for the guff 😉

Oh crud, all the parts from my full susser would swap straight over to that C456 evo (except the headset which is borked anyway)

That colour scheme looks great

Not really, most of the time people buy new bikes because their old one got so old that either/or:

a) the cost of a new bike is more than the cost of getting it back to 'as new'
b) it's so old that technology/geometry/wheel size really has moved on and riding would be more enjoybale on something 'new'
c) 'three** year itch'*

*can be a bit like B, but often results in buying a 2nd hand frame, or just likes having something new once in a while.
** anything between one and infinity

Besides, your bike may be perfect, good for you, I don't own it you do, therefore I need to keep buying new bikes untill I find one that's perfect like yours :-p

With bikes that's just Hora, anything else you need to get some ointment for that.

I haven't had the itch for ages, but it's getting to that time of year when you look at the fleet and wonder where to prioritise some improvements over the coming months and start running the man-maths to make it happen.

I've already bought a medium Whippet frame on eBay to replace my small frame which is too small, should make a profit on the deal as the frame came with some very nice bits that I don't need. Next day I see the new version of the one frame I regret selling, so I'll be working on some maths, selling some spares and probably my Transition TransAM and getting some Evo geometry in my life. Awesome.

So this 27.5 inch 456. Can someone please explain to me in easy understandable words (I'm a bit slow) does it ride the same as a 26 inch wheel 456? The original was fun down but a bit of a slog up as I had Fox 36 RC2's on front. What difference would the new one make?
It looks nice and shiny but we all know how thick the Chinese like their paint on the old frames.

It's only been for sale a week!

I had 150mm Marzocchi Z1 RC2's on mine, it was a dog uphill too, but it was great with 130mm forks. So I'd put that impression down to the weight/travel of the fork rather than the frame, just my tuppence. I think Brant summed it up (over the 456Evo) as different - yes, better - no, fun - certainly.
