I’m currently running 1x10 30t chainring and 11-36 cassette. Getting old and weak so thinking of getting the new Deore 10 speed 11-42 cassette. Will my long cage rear mech cope? Or will I need a longer B-screw?
Anyone already done this?

Long cage mech will be fine...all depends on your frame whether a longer b screw is needed.
Theyre only pennies from wickes or b&q though

It will be fine. I run a medium cage mech on a 42t casette and have no issues.
