its good tech and could develop interestingly. Think it is only viable for prototype and development at the moment due to relative slow production and high cost. (compared to casting and fabrication) However there is no tooling cost so ok for small production runs.

They could set up a scanning system to look at you and then build a bike perfectly tailored to you. Starting out by gauging size from your body dimensions but then it could go fully automated.

I posted this up the other day, It makes for an interesting read! Obviously economies of scale will depend on its success in our world. There'll always be a market for this sort of thing, but will be on the expensive side for while.
One should remember though, the technology is still in its infancy (compared to moulding). 10-15 years ago the cutting edge in AM was laser sintering resins.
