Never had a double front chainring setup before, so apologies in advance for how basic this question is.
I am about to receive a bike which has a raceface double chainring plus bashguard up front, and a 9 speed cassette on the back. The shifters are X7 triggers.
Now for the embarrassing question: will the front shifter only have 2 positions, or will it be a standard 3 position shifter? If the latter, what will happen if I accidentally push the trigger into the large ring up front (which isn't there!). Will I be pedalling on the bashring???!!! lol!
Just set the limit screw so you can't push it past the second click
OK - makes sense. So you don't get specific shifters/mechs then?
