That's on a scraper rim IIRC
Yep scraper rim.
Thinking a 3.0 inch tyre up front and a 2.8 inch out back.
Is the Nobby Nic about the only plus tyre that looks like it could handle winter mud. The others seem to have low profile tread, which look fine on wet rocks and roots but look like they will be like riding on ice if you hit mud.
Purgatory looks not too bad, it's wee brother isn't bad in mud, although I'd rather have it as a rear than a front tbh. I think it's a bit subjective, lots of folk don't rate knards in mud, but Robin has them on his krampus and does fine, I've had a shot a few times and they seem okay.
Nobby nics came on Thursday, they look very good for my local slop.
Bomboloni might be another option, though I'm happy with the NN
I'll have an Ikon and Rekon to try in a few weeks.
I think the Rekon should be good in 3C compound.
Rik- I'll happily sell my 3 inch nic if you're interested. It's only done a handful of rides in loamy rooty terrain so pretty much perfect.
How much on the Nobby Nic 3.0 Gotama? Email in profile if you prefer
I'm currently waiting for them to come back in to stock at Merlin for £32.50. Similar price from the Germans but you have to add in £5 postage.

Where from?
Email sent.
I've been happy with my purgatory in mud. See my other thread on b+ mud tyres
Where from?
Jungle Products.
It's a rather expensive way to get them though 😉
Happy with my 3.0 Purgatory up front in mud, much better than trailblazer but that is fine still on the rear. Fitted on a Charge cooker for which 2.8 is max width rear end wise.
Rekon and Ikon 2.8's have turned up today.
Rekon.

I'll do some Ikon pics in a bit.
The Rekon looks like it's going to be a good tyre. Specialy in the 3C Maxxterra version.
I'm running a 2.8 out back on the Solaris and a 3.0 nN up front on a boost fork. Initially tried a rocket Ron on the rear, 3.0 and the bloody thing was too big for the frame
Fastest HT I've ridden through technical stuff! Front can get squirmy on real hard corners though. @18psi on 35mm rim.
