So commencal list the new meta shock size as 230x62.5. However I can’t find anything in that size, only 230x60 or 230x65. I don’t know if I’m being stupid or not but what’s going on?! If I needed a shock in that size am I going 65mm or 60mm?

All 3 are the same, just spacers to reduce stroke are fitted.

65mm stroke length tends to be the norm, but with spacers in to make it 62.5 or 60 as honourablegeorge states, the only problem is the spacers are internal so require a more in-depth strip down compared to adding a volume spacer, so factor that in if buying another size.

If buying new, from somewhere like TFTuned or Mojo they'll be able to do that prior to sending i'd guess.

If you were looking at a coil shock I brought a DVO Jade X, they just use different spring clips ( Bit at the end holding the coil on ) to adjust the stroke, these are about £15 each and just slot on. Really like the shock and had no issues though only about 5 rides on it
