Mate of mine was running one years ago, it was the cheapest option to deal with an existing I.S.caliper and a new post mount fork. He got on fine with it, but hasn't complained of being under-braked using 203mm since then.
A few friends have them on their 38s and Zebs. Even forks like the Recon and Sektor are rated to 220
Used to run Hayes v9 rotors on bikes years ago. Surprised its taken until the last few years for the mainstream to catch on tbh.
223 are ok if you aren’t really going for it. 246 FTW.

Why 223? What was wrong with either 220 or 225? Seems a silly number to land on just like 203 is
203mm is very sensible, just like a 454g jar of jam.

203 is 8 inches, mounts are readily available. +20mm adapters are also readily available.

203mm is 8 inches, so what, frame n fork mounts are 160mm 180mm so anything not ending is zero is just dumb, especially 183mm.

Not really, especially when you consider that the Post Mount standard for the front is the rear post mount standad +20mm... If you were a brake manufacturer, does it make sense to use identical mounts front and rear, and just make your rotors in 20mm steps, or to have different adapters to do the same job front and rear simply for OCD reasons? 🤷🏻♂️
I'm running Magura MDR-P 220's front and rear on my bike and love it, more power but also better modulation IMO. I like that they are thicker then 200mm rotors too, used to hate getting a wobble in my old rotors!
