hi is anyone having any issues putting a specialized purgatory tyre on to a stans arch ex rim,and putting a tube in.

What rim tape? I had issue getting a tyre to fit without the yellow Stans tape on - even when running a tube.
No problem at all, it was a bit tricky getting it blown up on a non tubeless Alex rim.
scotroutes, only rim tape LBS had was a cheap yellow one 16mm wide but no name on it,so i used that
My suggestion would be to take it out and either use some electrical insulating tape (as shiny as possible) or get the proper stans stuff. The fit can be marginal so anything taking up additional space in the rim "well" can make things hard.
I'm running those tyres, on that rim, running tubes and they went on easy 🙂 (unlike the Geax Saguaros grrr).
