1. is it ok if you cannot lift your leg without using your arms?
2. Brandy, 2 ibuprofen and 2 paracetamol are the future.

Maybe a 3rd... Don't brake on icy wooden steps. You will go over the bars and you will smash your hip on something like ummm a tree stump and have a black funny shaped thing on your leg with blood on it and a lump under the flesh and asking Q's like this.

Good fun tonight... nightriding is fun.

TBC like to entertainus by chucking himself down things on every ride. With or without the bike.

Nice ride - I am rather shattered now.

Ouch! Go and see a doctor, ASAP. Sounds like you could have damaged your hip bursa - a fluid filled sac over the joint.

Go easy on the ibuprofen - it can do nasty things if you have heavy bruising. Stick to recommended doses.

Can't lift your leg how? I damaged some nerves or something in my groin which meant when lying down I couldn't lift my leg at all, and when sitting I couldn't lift my foot off the floor (hence couldn't drive) for a few days. Walking was surprisingly fine! That took less than a week to get over, but doesn't sound quite the same as what you've done, so all bets are off. If in doubt go and get it checked out at A&E as I did with mine (they gave me something a bit stronger than ibuprofen if nothing else ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

Sure it will be fine. Just a sprain or something like that. Not broken cause i didnt go white and dizzy.
Good sleep will sort it.

May have to postpone the marathon training though for a while.

Some excellent controlled dismount skills were shown by Ronan as well. Good work.

Got something similar playing rugby a few years back. Proper, proper dead leg (none of this playground wimpy rubbish). Couldn't go up or down stairs without moving leg using hands.

Best physio treatment available apparently is for her to dig her elbow into the affected area repeatedly. I'd suggest avoiding and sticking with the single-malt self-med.

BTW, got phone call from FedEx tonight, expecting arrival of shiny white thing tomorrow! ๐Ÿ˜€

Dead lag / heamatoma I guess - tomorrow it will either be better - MTFU or worse = go to A&E

Ronans slow motion OTB was rather good. Nice the way he just parked his bike neatly upside down as well

Great news Steve! I put the french stuff on the box for the man/monsieur

Had a chap in today from Spain. Hilarious. Just spoke Spanish to me after i jokingly said Hola... cue me just shrugging and saying ' i have no idea what you are saying' over and over, all i got was "yeti" and 'mondraker'.

It was the exact reverse of us in Bourg ordering beers. Quite funny.
