Might be a bit of a tricky one, or even a custom machining job. I'm after a 2nd CX bike for son No.1 as he's going to be racing the national trophy in the autumn and I'm buggered if I'm driving all over the UK and relying on one bike for the little fella.
We've seen a nice Ridley, but the fork is 100x15 all the wheels I have a 100x12 front fitment and they can't be converted to 100x15, so I've thought is there anything out there where you can get a threaded insert to allow you to use a 12mm axle? If not I guess it's find a lathe time and get jiggy.
you can get sleeves, on Amazon etc to do this
This sort of thing?
more like this
oops, i just realised... you were talking the other way around
Yeah, I could do with the same thing and £75 is a bit spendy. I'm considering getting a new fork instead
Not sure about the adapters, but I'm about to list a brand new planet X London road fork (taken off the bike at purchase as my nice front wheel is 100x15mm) - message me if it's any use
Steve,
I've a couple of sleeves that I got machined a few years ago - you're welcome to have them to see if they work for you ?
PM me your address if you're interested.
