[Closed] £100 to spend. Posh v cheap softshell? Road v MTB shoes?

Hello all.

Currently have £100 of vouchers to spend at LBS and contemplating my options.

Don't want to spend it on mechanical stuff, so looking at clothing/accessories/random bling.

Oakley's are out, just because everyone seems to lose them.
Could do with a new lid, so that's an option, but not a very exciting one.

I fancy one of the Gore Phantom Jackets, but concerned that I wouldn't notice that much of a difference over my cheapo Aldi (non-windstopper) softshells, which I've been very impressed with over the past few years.
Anyone tried both? Worth the difference?

Other option is a pair of roadie shoes. I'm using a very old pair of these

with MTB cleats on the road bike, but they start to hurt the soles of my feet after about 60 miles.
Can I get a decent pair of roadie/touring shoes and pedals for less than £100? If so, what do you recommend?
