The announcement in full

This may be a wee bit to late for some, however for all who are travelling North to 10 Under the Ben, please be aware that
there are roadwork's south of Fort William on the A82 at Onich.
Please allow an extra hour for travel even on the Saturday morning.

Preparations at this end are going well and are on schedule.
The course is still a wee bit slippy in places but if the
forecast is to be believed it will dry nicely over the
next few days.

Spares and last minute mishaps, do not worry Nevis Cycles are
staying open late on Friday at the Rural Complex and will be
open all day on Saturday. Martin and the Offbeat Crew will be
on hand on Saturday at Nevisrange. I will stop short of saying that I will eat my boxer shorts if these guys cannot keep you
going mechanically for the event. No Fuss are delighted that
they go that extra mile to support the event.

For my money, it is that type of heads up that makes these events that bit better organised than the rest.

Gutted that I wont be there, but needs must.

Is there somewhere for spectators to camp up on the Sarurday night? I should be on my way back from Skye on Saturday - thought I might pop by and break the journey.

Does anyone know if they are closing the A86 in the evenings this year?

Thanks Marty, looks like the A9 might still be the best route from Edinburgh. Think I'll get off the A9 at Luncarty and bypass the roadworks at Bankfoot. Getting back on the A9 at Dunkeld.

Just need to get to the A86 before 10pm (it does close), so I'll leave early.
