I need to raise the bars on the road bike. I've added as much spacer as the steerer will allow so it's time for an aesthetically unpleasing sticky uppy stem.

Anyone know how much height I'll gain with a 10 degree 110mm stem?

Anyone got one they don't need anymore? Classifieds here is turning up nowt. (OS 32.8)

I also think i have an OS Thomson 110 10degree stem spare in the garage.
Need to double check the length though.

Cool chart, nice one.

So, Road bikes have a 71°(+/-) HA. So with a 10° stem that's an angle of 29° degrees and if it's 110mm it'll give a rise of 5cm which is kind of what I need.(?!)

What has it got now, have you already flipped that?

If I remember my school maths correctly, then sin 10 = rise / 110mm. Hence rise = 110mm * sin 10 = 19.1mm.

So compared to a stem with no angle you would gain a rise of a little under 2cm which seems to agree with the graph singlespeestu has posted.

I think On-One have some cheap 100mm stems with a decent rise at the minute.

edit: Just realised you said road bike. Is the stem size the same? I'm not sure.
