I’ve decided to sell my beloved SCOTT ADDICT.

I bought this as a frameset and set myself the challenge of building something super lightweight.

Although I achieved this, I hardly ever ride it. It became my summer bike (for dry days only). As I own a mountain bike and cyclocross bikes I rarely use it. I’d say, over the last 5 years I’ve rode it maybe 5 times a year!

In winter I’ve always stored it in my loft.

As you can hopefully see, it’s in amazing condition.

Everything is carbon fibre (below is a list of the components)

Scott addict R2 frame and fork (all carbon including the steering tube and dropouts)

Easton carbon bars

Easton Carbon seat post (inline)

Easton e90 stem (lightweight alloy)

Full SRAM RED group set (carbon crank, carbon brake levers, titanium front derailleur, compact chainset)

CNC lightweight brake callipers (at the time there were the lightest brakes available – maybe they still are)

Swisstop blue brake pads (almost new)

Selle Italia SLR carbon / carbon rails (at the time this was the lightest saddle available with padding) there’s not a mark on it

11-28 sram cassette (I forget the model)

Shimano RS81 Carbon wheels (alloy braking surface) – very, very little wear (if any) these are amazing wheels (check google for reviews)

New Vittoria Open pave 27mm tyres (cotton casing)

Classy bar tape meticulously wrapped

Time pedals

I’m a competent bike mechanic and have recently serviced the bike and wheels

It kills me to sell it because if I ever got the road riding bug again it would cost me thousands to replace this.

I appreciate bikes have evolved over the last 10 years (disc brakes, electronic gearing, and internal cables etc) however, this bike is still highly capable! (please remember that disc brakes and electronic gearing also come with weight penalties).

I think it would make an amazing Hillclimb bike

Don’t waste thousands on stuff that makes hardly any real world difference….buy my bike for a fraction of the cost ?

I’m happy to answer any question, take any photos or speak in person.

I’m also willing to drive 1-2 hours to meet (I’m near Manchester)
