This is a very high spec bike which has probably been ridden less than 500 miles. It was built for me by Curtis Bicycles in Somerset in 2022 to my specification (even down to my choice of frame number). They are famous for their handmade, fillet brazed steel frames and there is often a waiting list.

The bike has a 19″ seat tube – I am just over 6ft tall and it fits me very well. Plenty of adjustment and low standover height means it will fit a range of sizes. Very forgiving to ride and suits a wide range of terrain.

Specification as follows;

Frame – Handmade, fillet brazed steel frame made from Reynolds 853 and Columbus tubing. External sheathed cable routing, dropper post compatible, Boost hub spacing. No bottle mounts. Superstar Components gold headset. Painted RAL Fir Green.

Geometry & measurements – 19″ seat tube, 120mm head tube, head angle 64.5, seat angle 75, reach 485mm, BB drop -62, BB height 306mm, chainstay length 440mm

Fork – Manitou Machete, Boost spacing, 130mm travel. Some cable rub to crown but no marking to stanchions. Pretty much as new.

Gearing – Shimano XT rear mech, SLX cranks with Blackspire 30t chainring, Saint bottom bracket with gold cups, SLX shifter, SLX 11-46 cassette. 11 speed. All in good working order.

Wheels – e:thirteen rims on Formula cartridge bearing hubs. Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres, little wear. Tubeless with Muc-Off tape and sealant, STZY valves.

Brakes – Shimano SLX 4-piston with Hope floating rotors. 203mm/180mm. Resin pads fitted – still serviceable..

Components – Spank Oozy 800x35mm bar, Spank 45mm stem (spare Nukeproof stem also). Crankbrothers Highline dropper post with alloy lever. DMR Deathgrips. Charge Spoon saddle. SPD pedals (very old but working fine – I’ll happily remove these if you ride flats).

Bike is registered with BikeRegister and marked with their security stickers and microdots which can be scanned by the police. Fully transferable to new owner in the same way as a car logbook.

Bike is currently insured for £3500 and Curtis charge £1500 for just the frame so I think it is advertised at a fair price. Reasonable offers will be considered but I’d rather you viewed the bike first – however, I appreciate Cornwall is a fair way from anywhere so would be prepared to meet a serious buyer. No test rides without your ID and car keys in my hand.
