Vintage Orange patriot 66 in murdered-out matt black. It’s got Fox Van 36 forks, Cane creek double barrel shock, XT cranks and DMR v12 pedals. In addition, the front wheel is a DT swiss EX500 built on a Hope hub; the back wheel is a Sun Rims single track (Can’t remember; that may be original) also built on a Hope hub. The brakes (Hayes 9), saddle and seat stem are all the originals. You can see from the pictures the other bits and pieces (bars, stem, derailleur, etc.)
I have owned this bike since new; it brought me a whole bunch of laughs in Delamere’s bike skills area (and a short sojourn in the HDU of Warrington hospital). The brakes need servicing, as do the forks and the shock; it’s all doable, but not by me – I’ve got too many hobbies and other toys; it’s time to move it on to somebody else who’ll love it as much as I did!
