YT Industries is back in the UK

YT Industries has officially resumed trading in the UK, making bikes available for the first time since the brand entered insolvency last year. CEO Markus Flossmann — who bought the brand back from administrators — has engaged two UK service partners, The Riders Hub and Sterlands Cycle Service, and says he is actively expanding the service network.

It’s a genuine comeback story, albeit one with some asterisks. YT went into self-administration in the summer of 2025, leaving a number of UK customers holding paid orders with no bikes and no refunds in sight. Flossmann subsequently purchased the brand and its assets and made fulfilling those outstanding orders a personal priority, promising every customer who placed their trust in YT would receive what they paid for.

YT has restructured but hasn’t reopened its UK offices, so this is a leaner operation than before. The question for anyone tempted by a new Capra or Jeffsy is whether the infrastructure now in place is robust enough to support warranty claims and technical support at scale. Two service partners for the whole of the UK is a start, not a solution.

There’s no doubt the bikes themselves remain capable machines. And Flossmann has put his own credibility on the line here. Whether the community is ready to forgive and forget is another matter — and knowing Singletrack readers, it’s a question worth asking directly in the comments.

A mountain biker rides through a large fallen tree in a dark, misty forest, creating a dramatic scene with splashes of water and debris.
